When you think like quitting remember your why

When you start your Avon journey you're excited about being an Avon Representative and don't listen to your leader and think of your why and also don't write it down. You do some of your classes but not all of them. You don't think they are important .This whole time you have sold to all your family and friends and after the first few campaigns  you start to struggle and get frustrated. You dont know why you can't get new customers and you don't understand why all your family and friends don't buy anymore. You have hit a brick wall called the Valley.
You have two choices: sit down and think about what your leader has said to you. Dig deep in your heart and remember why you wanted to sell Avon in the first place. Then start working on your classes and take them to heart. There is so much information and I know you think you know about make up, cologne and people but if your struggling then you don't know as much as you think. I once said to a teacher the classes are your books and the customers are your tests.
Your second choice is to look deep in your heart and see if now is the time to be a Representative. When I started this second time I didn't have a why. My husband signed us up. When he found we couldn't work together the way he wanted us to, he bailed and left the business to me. I struggled for several years because I didn't have a why then i found my ex business partner and I followed her because I didn't know any better. I thought I needed someone to tell me what to do and where to go. Then she quit and I was lost again. I sat on the couch for several months barely keeping my business going. Then I listened to one of Molly's Friday talk replays.I knew then what I had to do.
I dug deep, deeper than I ever had. I had been using my health, family,my husbands lack of support and then the loss of my business partner and excuses as to why I couldn't do this business. My husband wanted me to quit. I knew I didn't want to quit but I still didn't know why not.
I didn't know my why. I knew I enjoyed talking to people. I knew if I didn't I would become a hermit. But that still wasn't my why. My why is because I want to prove to myself and my family I can do this. I had two strokes and doing anything was a struggle. I have fought every step of the way. But I know that I can and will grow. I have strength and determination!

Making your business better

If you aren't making what you want to make, think about these three things.
1). Why are you selling Avon? When you started selling Avon there was some goal you had made. More money, being a stay at home mom, getting free Avon or even a new car. 2). how much time are you willing to put into your business? It could be one hour a day, 5 hours a day or three hours 2 times a week. Whatever it is, be consistent so you customers know when they can expect you. 3) How much money do you want to make each campaign? So if you want to make 200 extra a campaign divide it by 10. You need 20 customers. Think about what your gonna do to get more customers and talk to your team leader or others for ideas.
This works for new reps or old reps

The #hashtag and your virtual business

People wonder what the hashtag is and what it does. The hashtag is also called the pound sign. The dictionary says: (on social networking websites) a word or phrase preceded by a hashmark (#), used within a  message to identify a keyword or topic of interest and facilitate a search for it: Avon has a new tagline #beautyforapurpose . If you look that up you will find all kinds of pictures and people talking about that.
So when you post something on your social media you use hashtags to get people to view it. Do a little experiment and post something with hashtags and without. Since I have started using them i have added more followers, friends, likes and views.
There are a few places to go to find the right phrases to use for your post depending on what its written about and top-hashtags.com and hashtgs.org are great to use.
So whether you are using twitter, facebook, instagram or some other social media remember to use hashtags to bring readers to your post.

Where should I leave a brochure

I have read many group pages where people have talked about if they can put a brochure in or on a mail box. And I'm surprised  everytime I see someone not know they can't put one anywhere touching mail boxes. Then one day I went to get my mail and hanging on the hook of my box was an Avon Brochure. After speaking with the representative she had sent someone out with brochures to pass out in her neighborhood. Then she said something I was really floored by. I told her not to put a brochure out on an Avon Lady's  door.
Then tonight I was talking to someone and she was telling me that an Avon Representative she believes puts brochures in her daughters mail box. When we talked about it she was surprised that people still don't know it's a federal offence when we have know it since we were kids.
Well if we can't attach them to the mail box or put them in the mail box where do I leave them? There are many videos and blogs of how to do things like "throwing brochures", door hanging or interviewing people in the neighborhood.
Lynette Bledsoe has a great video on tossing brochures. It shows you a nice neat way of how to use the literature bag to protect your brochure. Molly's video shows you the faster way to toss brochures. Always have someone go with you as it makes it easier and much more fun. I have tried to throw brochures by myself and I couldn't get them very far up the driveway. You also have to figure that your slower by yourself and not as safe. Lastly watch the weather because you don't want to be out with your window or door open watching it rain or snow.
Door hanging gives you lots of exercise and sometimes you might get to meet your neighbors. You need to order the clear literature bags item number 058 433. You get 50 bags for .80 cents. You can either print your name on the brochures, print labels, or use a stamp with all your information. Make sure to add something like a flyer in regards to recruiting or fundraisers.
The final way we will talk about leaving brochures out at peoples house is doing a neighborhood survey. This ones great for an area that says no soliciting. You have a bag with things like brochures and flyers. You also need to take a note book with you so you know who you have talked to.
You can say something like "My my name is Jane Smith with Avon and I'm doing a survey to check and see how well the are is being represented. Is there an Avon Representative in the area?  How long has it been since you have seen a brochure? Do you feel this area is being full represented?"
Most people who don't have a representative will ask for a brochure.
These are my most favorite ways to get my brochures out in the neighborhood. What are yours?
